Kathryn Oliver, artistic director, visual artist, film maker
Kathryn Oliver has a professional arts background in painting, theater, photography and dance. A lover of literature and myth, her role in WAX WINGS is envisioning the story and taking timeless wisdom from the ages and breathing new life into it by weaving myth, poetry, film and paintings together for the stage. Founder and artistic director of Terra Diddle Collective, a performance group which combines mythical stories, large puppetry, music and dance and collaborator in LEAP, a ritual performance inspired by the poetry of Rumi.
Currently Kathryn creates film shorts and exhibits black and white fine art photography, photo encaustics and oil paintings presenting her work in national and international shows. Kathryn lives in Camden, Maine and teaches photo encaustic workshops out of her studio and at Maine Media Workshops.
